Dear Lennard and Nick,

This is me before the metric century this past Saturday.  The ride went well and I really enjoyed the comfort of the ride and the use of the motor on the hills.  My friends, who are cheap skates, saw the beauty of e-assist as I had to wait on them to finish on the uphills.  They kind of were a bit frustrated by a big man blowing them away on the hills and not working very hard to do so.  And I stayed in the ECO motor setting for almost the entire time I used it.  I still had 40% battery life left at the end of the ride.  And together the bike and I weigh about 330 lbs – a bunch of weight to push for  63 miles.  My shoulder never felt any discomfort and my legs were not tired the next day.  Best bike EVER!  A Thank You shoutout to you and Lennard for such a great experience on a perfect bike for me.

You have my permission to use the photos and text for marketing if it will be useful to you.

Take care and thanks.

The best part though is that my riding buddies are envious of how little effort I have to exert while they trudge up the hills. I tend to rub it in on them too. I can see why Lennard needed the e-bike to control his heart rate. It’s actually hard to get mine up much over 130. And when I get tired, I switch to assist mode and take the pressure off of my legs. I’m like 70 years old and can now do long rides at a good pace comfortably. It extends many of the limits I had riding before. Much more enjoyable and still getting good work.

This Zinn Custom Titanium ebike features the Bosch Gen 4 Performance Line Speed motor with Smart System. It has the 725Wh battery and the Knox 300 display. We outfitted the bike with Sram AXS 1×12 speed components, handbuilt wheels with Onyx Hubs and Velocity Chukker rims and 36 spokes. The handlebar is a suspension bar from Flexx, which we specified to help alleviate shoulder pain that he was having on other bikes in the past.
