Come see “In The Dirt” movie at the Museum of Boulder on April 15 at 7pm

By Lennard Zinn

My wife Sonny and I were so taken by “In The Dirt”—a  documentary about mountain biking on the Navajo Reservation—when we saw it at Chautauqua in Boulder a few months ago that we wanted all our cycling friends to see it. We are honored to invite you to see it with us along with the filmmakers at the Museum of Boulder on April 15 at 7pm. If you show up early, you can also tour the great exhibitions currently on display at the museum.

We all know how life-changing bike riding can be, and it’s awesome to see Navajo kids in this movie—and their mothers, too!—feeling the joy and freedom of being out on a bike. And wow, is there some amazing mountain bike riding terrain with phenomenal vistas on the vast Navajo reservation!

I personally want to go down there, ride some of those trails, and assist the riders there in building more trails. I also want to see and support the little bike shops they have created in shipping containers that can be brought in complete by truck wherever there are people wanting to run it. Voilá—a bike shop appears where there was not one before!

We’ll have a brief talk back afterward with the filmmakers.

Here’s the link to buy tickets.

Here’s the trailer for In The Dirt.

Sonny and I hope you’ll join us on April 15 to see this film!
