Instructions for your KHS Flite 747 shipped partially assembled. *NOTE: KHS bikes are not manufactured or assembled by Zinn Cycles. We are not responsible for the partial assembly of this bike. It is shipping to you as it ships to us from the KHS factory in Taiwan. Please go through this checklist and make sure all of these items are checked by an experienced bicycle mechanic. If you are not comfortable with any of these items, please bring it to a bike shop, and give them this list. If you prefer that we do this before shipping, please let us know and we will charge your card for the difference in cost.
Check bottom bracket cups on both sides for correct torque of 40nm.
Remove the Crank-arm fixing bolt and replace with new bolt that has blue loctite on the threads. If new bolt is not in the box, please apply a healthy amount of blue medium strength loctite to the bolt.
Check pinch-bolt threads on left crank arm and torque to 10-nm.
Then torque the Large crank arm fixing bolt with 8mm allen wrench to 20nm.
Check and true wheels
Check tire pressure
Install pedals with pedal washers
Install brake rotor to wheel and ensure proper bolt torque
