The bicycle fit calculator is great for those looking to determine their ideal bicycle frame geometry. This is the bicycle fit calculator referenced in the books Zinn and the Art of Road Bike Maintenance and Zinn and the Art of Mountain Bike Maintenance. Fitting option 1
Do it yourself
Use this form to find instructions and submit measurements if you are interested in purchasing a bike from Zinn Cycles. Lennard Zinn has made it easy for anyone to follow our instructions and take their own measurements. This is sufficient for getting a frame designed by Lennard. Lennard will examine your measurements, when submitted, and he can design the frame based on those measurements. It is important to have another person help you with the measurements for the best accuracy. It is also a good idea to take the measurements at least three times each. Lennard also has a keen eye for errors, so if you mess up, he’ll pick up on it, and have you re-do the ones that may be incorrect.

Elite bicycle fitting with Lennard Zinn
If you can make it to Boulder for a fitting for your new bike, use this contact form to request an appointment with Lennard. We will reach out to schedule the appointment. The Elite Fitting with Lennard is included in the price of every bike. If you want to schedule a fitting with Lennard on your own bike, the cost is $300, and that amount will be credited toward a future bike purchase if you decide to get a Zinn Bike.

The Ultimate Bike Fit
You can upgrade to a full 3d fitting at the Boulder RETUL Center. Lennard Zinn, like many bike fitters, is very good at optimizing a rider’s position in the x-y plane (i.e., from the side, including saddle height and fore-aft, crank length, and handlebar reach and drop). However, dialing in the rider’s third dimension, the z-plane, is the area that Andy Pruitt pioneered and continues to be the world leader in. The tracking of the knee, stance width, and the supination/ pronation of the foot on the pedal are critical to power output and injury prevention, and nobody does this better. The professional fitters at the Boulder RETUL center are trained in Dr. Pruitt’s methods.

We want you to feel confident that your custom Zinn Bike is going to be a perfect fit, even if you are ordering remotely. We sell many bikes to every corner of the world, and we have an incredible track record for perfect fitting bikes, even for those who have never set foot in Boulder. You can take your own measurements with the help of a friend, but you are also welcome to get a professional bike fit done in your local area. We will consult directly with the fitter to design you the best fitting bike possible. We are building a great list of bike fitters around the world that we work with regularly, and we always welcome new fitters to our network.
