Our home is in Boulder, CO, which is nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and sits 5,434 feet above sea level. It’s no surprise we love mountain biking and readily use our backyard as a playground to test our bicycle designs. Classic mountain bike destinations such as Moab, UT, Fruita, CO, Durango, CO, and Crested Butte, Co, are all within 400 miles, and we visit each of these locations every year. In our immediate area, we have some of the most scenic bike trails in the United States.

We test our prototypes on trails of different skill levels to get immediate feedback, and with that knowledge, we can produce the best bikes imaginable for you. At Zinn Cycles, you can have a custom mountain bike made specifically for you regardless if you’re short, tall, big, or small!

Mountain Bikes For Tall Riders

Zinn Cycles was created and founded by Lennard Zinn in 1982. At 6’6″ inches tall, Mr. Zinn soon realized that every bike he rode was too small for his height and particular body size. After years of frustration, he decided to open his own company and focus on building mountain bikes. His unique experience led him to design and eventually produce Zinn bikes, as well as document his expertise in his own bike maintenance books. He is a master at custom building all types of bikes for riders of all sizes, but his knowledge of custom mountain bikes is unsurpassed.

Zinn mountain bikes for tall riders come with hardtail frames made from titanium, magnesium, or steel and have the option to add full-suspension systems for increased comfortability and performance. Our full suspension 29ers are available in two sizes that easily accommodate heavy and tall riders. No matter where you live in the world, we will work with you to make sure the fit of your Zinn bike is absolutely perfect. We offer a full service in-house bike fitting for those who can make it to Boulder, Colorado and we also have detailed measurements instructions for those who cannot make it out for an in-house fitting. We are also happy to work directly with a bike fitter in your area, and we offer upgraded 3D bike fittings  at the Boulder RETUL Center.
